Historic Masquerade Ball

On an autumn evening in November 1813 De Wijenburg, an estate owned by the unmarried Anna van Wassenaer, is the centre stage of a masquerade ball. Adorned with the most beautiful masks the gentlemen are freely flirting with this young and rich heir of Wijenburg Castle and all the other pretty ladies present. Disguised beyond recognition everybody starts to lose their sense of propriety. Shameless flirting, flaunting and dancing. Unrestrained eating, drinking and gambling. At a masquerade social boundaries get blurred. But take care: don’t lose sight of your decorum! On the stroke of midnight all the guests will remove their masks. Also your true identity will be no secret to the public anymore …
