Regency weekend with Netherfield Ball
“There were twenty dances & I danced them all & without any fatigue….
I fancy I could just as well dance for a week together as for half an hour.”
(Jane Austen, letter to her sister Cassandra, 1798)
2017 marks a special Jane Austen anniversary year. On July 18, 1817 this great British author died in the arms of her sister Cassandra at the age of only 41. No one, not even her beloved sister, had suspected that Jane would live on in the minds of her readers, even 200 years after her death. To celebrate her life and work Stichting Reverence organises a magnificent Regency weekend in November. Dance like Jane ‘without any fatigue’ at our Netherfield Ball, and/or take part in one of the other exciting events.

Huis Barnaart, the magnificent location of our Netherfield Ball.
